Baby Update

Hello everyone, I had my follow-up appointment today to get the results of the ultrasound and diabetes test. Both tests came out find and Baby Zach would hardly stop moving long enough for the doctor to hear his heart beat, but she finally got it. She was a little concerned because I told her that I have recently had a hard time sleeping because he is now getting so big and I am now measuring a little big, which means that there may be too much fluid. She wanted to see me in two weeks, but due to the move we will have to wait until we get to the new hospital to make sure there is enough room in there for the little guy.

Christmas 2008

This is our Christmas tree, very blurry, sorry.
All of our gifts under the tree.
Our stockings.
Tyson opening his presents, after he saw his train table he didn't want to open anything and started crying when we made him! Then he opened his Thomas train up first and didn't want anything else!
His new Thomas the Train play rug.
Playing on his new rug.

After we changed him into his Thomas pajamas.

Playing with his train table!

Eating a turkey leg that daddy cooked (this was a setup, he did not really eat the whole thing!).
The turkey leg, again, and this is his Wall-E shirt from his Aunt Debbie.

Our new house!

Okay, so here are some pictures of the house we found in 29 Palms! It was built in 2006, 3 bed/2 bath and it's really secluded but still really close to Wal-Mart and other conveniences. Sorry that there is stuff in the pictures, but the owner stays sometimes just to look after the house but doesn't actually live there.
This is part of the entry way, it has a bunch of closets so there is plenty of space.
This is part of the closet in the master bedroom.
This is part of the master bathroom.
This is the master bedroom, it is really big compared to what we are used to!
This is one of the other bedrooms, I am not sure yet if it will be the guest room or if it will be the boys' room.
And this is the other room.
From the hallway, the door straight ahead is to the 2 car garage, to the right is the laundry room and to the left is the bathroom.
This is part of the living room, I LOVE the fireplace!
Part of the kitchen, we just have to find a refrigerator to put in.
The other part of the kitchen. I just have to say that I am so excited because all of the appliances are chrome/black and they are all the same brand (if you know me, then you know this puts my mind at ease because they all match).
This is what will be the dining room, but it is currently his office while he is at the house.
This is the outside of the house. It has a great view from the back and plenty of room for the boys to play.

More Snow ?

Here is Tyson enjoying his first snow, he didn't really know what to think, but he didn't really care for it once he figured out it was cold!

Snow in the Desert!

Well, this is what we ran into and delayed us for about five hours yesterday when trying to get to 29 Palms to look at houses. It was so weird to have a snow storm in the desert, but it was so exciting for me being an Indiana girl!
We will let you all know the outcome of our trip, we were only able to look at two houses yesterday due to the delay!

Baby Update

Hello everyone!
For those of you who do not know, the official name for our new son is Zachary Kent. I spent a long day at the Naval Hospital doing the gestational diabetes test and I had a regular appointment. I have not gotten the results back from the test, but they of course had a very difficult time getting my blood and now both of my arms are bruised and look pretty bad. The appointment went very well, except that Zach would not stop moving long enough for the doctor to get his heartbeat! Every time she would pick it up, he would kick the doppler. It was so funny!
I have the follow-up ultrasound next Friday, they will be checking to make sure that the placenta is where it should be and then I will be going to the doctor on the 31st to get the results.
Also for those of you who may not know, we will be moving to 29 Palms, CA in the beginning of January. We will be looking for a house in the next couple of weeks, please pray that the Lord shows us His will for our family.
I will post results and anymore baby news when we get it!

Thomas the Train

A couple of weeks ago while I was on the Ladies Retreat with our church, Leon took Tyson to see Thomas the Train. For those of you who don't know, Tyson is obsessed with Thomas, or "Nomas" as he calls him!
They had a blast seeing Thomas and got to take an actual train ride!

"Let me see I think the sights on this machine gun are off a little. I think I better fix'em."

"Yep!!! Much better. Its a good thing I was here. If Dad had not brought me to work to day there might have been a real problem."

Mary was out of town this week end so I took Tyson to work for a little while and we stopped by to see a friend of mine who was doing some gun drills with there .50CAL machine guns Tyson had a smile from ear to ear. He whatched the marines practicing and tried to imitate them.

Stuff!

We went to Walmart today and I was finally able to find some newborn clothes! I have had a hard time finding newborn instead of 0-3 month clothes, but I found some cute outfits for baby Zach!

We did Tyson's Christmas shopping while we were there, I was already able to find a used train table for him (trains are the new thing to him). I had wanted to get him a rug to drive cars on but they are really expensive but I found a train rug with a Thomas toy in it for only $20!
And of course he has to have his "Choo-choo" movies! His Christmas presents are all bought except that I need get him a little track and a few trains for his table.

Baby Mark

FYI, no, we did not have our baby. This is the son of friends of ours and his daddy is in Iraq so we are putting these pictures on here for him to see his new little son!
